We invite you to create lasting memories with your loved ones in our corner of the North Carolina mountains.
The New River: Nature’s Playground
Flowing just minutes from downtown Lansing—and directly accessible from our RV campground—the New River is one of the oldest rivers in North America and a designated National Wild and Scenic River. Despite its name, the New River is ancient, winding peacefully through the North Carolina high country. Guests can enjoy convenient, easy access to the water for launching canoes, kayaks, rafts, and other water toys right from the campground. The river offers ideal conditions for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing—especially for smallmouth bass and trout. Its gentle flow and shallow waters make it accessible for all ages and experience levels. Along the riverbanks, you’ll find wildflower meadows, soaring hardwoods, and abundant bird life, creating a perfect backdrop for both adventure and relaxation. Whether you're paddling through the morning mist or enjoying a riverside picnic at sunset, the New River delivers an unforgettable outdoor experience.
